I'm Grace! I teach women to travel with intention, from sacrificing their dreams to confidently creating a life that reflects joy, curiosity, and growth. My journey from a U.S. Army Veteran to a travel mindset coach and entrepreneur taught me resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to helping others unlock their full potential.
Listen to the Random & Wonderful Podcast, where I share travel stories, interview other travelers, and offer confidence-building tips.
I have traveled since I was a baby. Yup, I was the little kid with the tag, sitting in the chair closest to the airline desk, swinging my legs, and staring down at the flight staff so I wasn’t left behind.
When I worked as an administrative assistant, I was mentally exhausted and misaligned in a career that was draining my soul – there was no room for growth or professional development (and that was by design), and interactions with colleagues were uncivil. There were underhanded insults, microaggressions, and blatant disregard for our personal space, time, and opinions. As administrative professionals, we were to be seen, not heard, even when it came to our work. Once I detached myself from my toxic environment and mundane work and did my first solo trip, I realized the skills I needed to be the best of myself, I learned during my travels.
Then it clicked for me! I decided to travel for the experience, not as an escape from work or my life. Through travel, I have learned strategies like self-advocacy, resilience, and setting boundaries to protect my wellness - all of which have been tested and reinforced in the workplace.
During my service as a transportation officer in the U.S. Army, my role included mentoring and what I did not realize at the time was coaching. I’m used to listening to soldiers’ situations and giving professional and personal advice. I realized that people wait for motivation to carry them to their goals when they truly need personal development and strategies to build their confidence. To provide more elevated services at the Amethyst Palaver Hut, I decided to get certified in confidence-building strategies, emotional intelligence, and cognitive behavioral therapy framework or CBT coaching. Now, my passion for travel and personal development combine to help single women who feel disconnected from their authentic selves adopt a solo traveler's mindset so they can live with joy and ease without the fear of the unknown.
